A centrifugal compressor refers to a turbine compressor with an exhaust pressure higher than 0.015MPa and where the gas mainly flows radially. It is also known as a radial flow compressor. Those with an exhaust pressure lower than 0.2MPa are generally also called centrifugal blowers. It is widely used in various process flows to convey air, various process gases or mixed gases and increase their pressure. In industry, they are often named according to their uses or types of gases, such as blast furnace blowers and ammonia centrifugal compressors, etc. Centrifugal compressors play a significant role in various sectors of the national economy, especially in industries such as metallurgy, petrochemicals, natural gas transportation, refrigeration, and power, where they are widely applied.

Atlas Copco
Atlas Copco of Sweden was founded in 1873 and is currently one of the world's largest multinational industrial groups, with its headquarters located in Sweden.

Its Compressor technology department has a total of 10 branch factories, mainly producing reciprocating, screw and centrifugal compressors suitable for air and other industrial gases, as well as their matching dryers, filters, coolers, energy recovery systems and control systems, etc. Among them, the AIRPOWER branch factory in Belgium is the world's largest manufacturer of screw compressors, with an annual output of tens of thousands of units. The compressors produced by Demag of Germany include :AX series centrifugal compressors, AR series mixed-flow compressors, RR series high-flow centrifugal compressors, MH series horizontal split core compressors, MV series vertical split core compressors, H(VK) series multi-shaft (high-pressure) gear-speed-increasing centrifugal compressors, PRT series process gas compressors, and SEI/SEE Series single-stage centrifugal compressors.
2. Delaware Corporation of the United States
Delaware Corporation of the United States was founded in 1901 and has a long history of manufacturing steam turbines. Its industrial turbines are mainly used on military warships. It began to manufacture fuel gas compressors in the 1950s. In the United States, Kellogg Company developed a 300,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis process. In the 1960s and 1970s, Delaware Company supplied a large quantity of four major units, namely air compressors, raw gas compressors, synthesis gas compressors and chillers, for the 300,000-ton/year ammonia synthesis production. The centrifugal compressors and steam turbines produced by Drava are currently in operation in 700 units of 90 large-scale ammonia synthesis plants around the world. Among the 13 sets of 300,000 tons per year large-scale fertilizer plants introduced to China in the mid-1970s, 8 sets of the four major units were produced by the Drava factory.
